Residential & Commercial Asphalt:
We specialize in asphalt paving for industrial, commercial, professionally managed properties, institutions and municipalities throughout Richmond, VA and surrounding areas. We perform all types and sizes of asphalt paving jobs. As a property owner or business entity you know the value, appeal and safety features a well-paved parking lot can bring to your property. To ensure this lasting value, it’s important to choose the right paving company. Pavement, especially asphalt, if not designed and constructed properly will not last as you need or expect it to. Because the quality of a paving project is not easily observed, inferior craftsmanship and materials will not show up until years later. We offer the peace of mind and quality of construction that ensures you the lasting value and investment satisfaction you deserve.
Asphalt Overlays:
As asphalt ages and deteriorates through its designed life cycle, it is imperative to install a new layer of asphalt. This process known as asphalt overlay will extend the life of your surface and rejuvenate a fresh new look to the surface area. At Advanced Asphalt, LLC the appearance of your property is our foremost concern. We want to ensure that your parking lots, driveways and streets leave a lasting impression for years to come.
Tar & Chip (Surface Treatment):
Tar & Chip provides a beautiful alternative to asphalt. The tar is first applied to the base and then the gravel is applied. Once the tar is completely covered with gravel, a roller is used to firmly press the gravel into the tar. With Chip and seal you can personalize your project with colored stones, shades of brown, light grey, and red. Chip and seal surfaces typically last 10-15 years but can vary based on several factors such as climate, traffic, and base. Chip and seal is virtually maintenance free because there is no need to seal coat. Chip and seal can be up to 50% cheaper than asphalt.
Patching:
Asphalt patching is necessary to correct isolated areas of failures in your parking lot. In the process, you will also be providing a good foundation for your parking lot. Patching works by simply placing new asphalt on top of a failed area.
Seal Coating:
Asphalt is susceptible to certain chemicals and elements due to its porous composition. Spills of oil, gas and other chemicals can damage the asphalt. Seal coating will help protect your pavement from such chemicals. When you protect your asphalt with seal coating, it not only prevents damage but it also presents a brand new appearance. In addition, seal coating will help extend the life of your asphalt.

Preventative Maintenance Programs:
Proper maintenance is essential to maximizing the life of your asphalt parking lot. Advanced Asphalt, LLC has over 20 years of experience throughout the Richmond, VA area. By properly maintaining your asphalt pavement you can defer costly resurfacing or replacement projects and maximize the life of your pavement.
Concrete:
Concrete is an alternative to asphalt. Not only does concrete have a longer structural life that is designed to last 25 to 30 years, its rigid surface provides excellent durability. Another advantage of concrete is that it requires less repair and maintenance. While concrete is more expensive to install than asphalt, it is a wise investment for locations that must withstand heavy loads.
Hot-Pour Crack Filling:
For asphalt that has minimal linear cracking, the most economical way to prevent future asphalt deterioration and asphalt expenses is to seal or fill the cracks. While there is multiple crack filling methods, we use hot-pour crack filling. This method is extremely beneficial for high-traffic areas. Hot-pour crack filling will help stop the damage by preventing the cracks from spreading.
